RT Deutsch and other sites that discuss the migrant crisis contain numerous enthusiastic reader commentaries, the vast majority of which are, to some degree or other, anti-Establishment and almost all of which are anti-Merkel. It is hard to imagine that the Madwoman of Berlin could possibly win the next Chancellor election, although she has a comfortable lead in the polls. And yet, for some unfathomable reason, while forum participants seem more aware than ever before, no one seems to recall how Merkel contributed mightily to the creation of conditions in the Middle East that made it nearly impossible for many victims of the Western-supported terrorism to stay in their homes. Yet, the official Atlanticist narrative is that the chaos and wars in Syria are due to Assad, who, if you listen to the fantacists, you’d swear had strangled all the victims of the war with his bare hands. But embarrassingly for the fiction writers of the press, now that the Syrian conflict is gasping its last, hundreds of thousands of Syrians have returned to their homes and many more will follow. And Assad is expected to be re-elected by voters grateful to him for toughing out a half decade of war to keep Syria together, and not partitioned up according to Western plotters. Below are some reminders of the way German and US regime changers have done their dirty work in the past and continue to do so today as though it were they who had saved the day in Syria and, as if they had not made hell holes out of countries from Afghanistan to Iraq, from Kosovo to Libya, and on and on and on. Here we go again. Regime change plans for Venezuela NSS translation of: http://www.german-foreign-policy.com/de/fulltext/59667 Newsletter from 06.09.2017 - Discussions in the Chancellery BERLIN / CARACAS (german-foreign-policy report) - Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet a leading politician of the Venezuelan opposition at the Berlin Chancellery this Wednesday. Julio Borges, reportedly a supporters of the 2002 coup in Caracas, will be with the Chancellor [Merkel] to discuss the political development in Venezuela. Fierce power struggles are raging in the country; the opposition, recruited mainly from the old wealthy elites of the country, is close to the Western powers and is therefore supported by Berlin. In recent years, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (CDU, Christian Democratic Union), has been at the forefront in the operational support for them, and has advised Borges' party Primero Justícia (Justice First) in the area of "political communications." Primero Justícia was also involved in the coup in 2002. Berlin’s actions match similar practices in other Latin American countries where the Federal Republic regularly sides with the old elite. It also reminds us of interventions by German authorities in the Preparing the overthrow in Ukraine. END TRANSLATION The Germans like to stick their oar in troubled waters, as if trying to one-up the Americans in a race to abject failure (in 2002, GW Bush had been involved in the Venezuelan coup as well). Meanwhile, both countries muck things up even more. NSS commentary: Our Venezuelan refugee friends almost all tell us the same thing: While they are disgruntled with President Maduro, they fear US intervention just as much as their current president. They also regret that Chavez is gone. Yet the people’s will is ignored by Western power brokers and politicians, who want to bring the oil-rich South American country under their sphere of influence no matter what. Speaking of how Merkel picks winners, no one ever seems to remember that the Madwoman of Berlin promised early on to support the Arab Spring with 100 million euros. Deutschelobby.com, one of the few news sites to report on this – back in 2011 -- cites the reputable outlet Fokus in 2011. NSS translation follows: “Angela Merkel promises 100 million euro tax money for the Arab Spring Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel promises to support the so-called "Arab Spring" with German tax credits. "Merkel said that "young democracy" should be strengthened. This year, the democratic change in the region will be supported by more than 30 million euros, and an additional 100 million euros should be provided in the coming years.” Back in April, after Trump punished Assad for allegedly “using chemical weapons against his people,” without a stitch of evidence except his own overheated fantasy, Merkel was quick to pile on, as reported by spiegel.de. Our translation: “Merkel said that after the retaliation of the US, "everything should be done to find a political solution for Syria under the umbrella of the United Nations and together with Russia." Merkel sees a peaceful future for Syria without the ruler Assad. A "political transition" must be found "at the end of which Assad can no longer be in office." [Excuse us, Frau Merkel, but how could you expect to exclude Assad “together with Russia?” NSS] END TRANSLATOIN According to the German-language site deutsche-wirtschafts-nachrichten.de, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation was also involved in the Maidan fiasco, supporting as presidential candidate, Vitali Klitschko, who promoted a coalition that involved the fascistic Svoboda party. Merkel also supported Klitscho’s candidacy as early as 2013. This candidate lost. So where has this policy of including radical fascists led to? According to the Washington Post, the Ukraine government, amidst its struggle against Russian sympathizers in Donbass, has been unable to control the rogue militias that supposedly were supporting it against the Russia-sympathetic breakaways. But according to Global Research, this confusion over loyalties has not deterred the US from unabashedly training these fascist militias. This chaotic situation is believed to be one of the main reasons – besides the rampant corruption in Ukraine – that the EU has not moved on its original promise to invite Ukraine as an associate member. It is also one reason why the US is hesitant to send high grade arms to the Kiev government. And yet, the US arms are still flowing in simply because the US public knows little or nothing about the Ukraine-Donbass conflict. NSS has always maintained that ignorance is the underlying cause of war. The above is just one more example.
