On Aug 17, the Strategic Culture Foundation showed at its web site that all of the sanctions against Russia are based on lies. The pertinent article focuses on the breath-takingly blatant lies about the poisoning of Russian ex-spy Sergey Skripal and his daughter Yulia and shows that, contrary to his campaign statements, Trump is pursuing the same anti-Russian rhetoric as Obama in declining to expose the lies about Russia that threaten to plunge the world into a hot war with that nuclear power.
The same pattern of lies used to justify the unfair sanctions is being used again in the Middle East, apparently to frame Assad and justify another senseless attack on the Syrian nation that could also lead to a major hot confrontation with Russia in Syria.
The Russian Ministry of Defence has reported that there is evidence that another “chemical attack” is being prepared by rebel groups in Syria with the objective of blaming it on Assad.
The average Westerner may still believe the US government’s narrative that Assad enjoys poisoning women and children in particular even though:
1 — The enemy in the Syrian war that confronts the Syrian army is invariably male Islamists,
2 —The most virulent terrorists in Syria have been almost completely routed or killed
3 — Assad knows that the US and allies are salivating over the opportunity to have an excuse to oust Assad from power and defeat his troops
Thus, Assad has no motive to kill people using methods that the West would surely use as an excuse to attack him again. His cooperative attitude, under Russian guidance, shows that wants to avoid sullying the West.
Now, prior to the last US attack on Syria in April, based on the unproven and unlikely narrative — supported by the notorious White Helmets — that Assad had assaulted a group of unarmed Syrians using poison gas, the Russian Ministry of Defence had been alerted by informants in the area in question, ie, the city Douma in the suburban area of East Ghouta, that a false-flag event was being planned, and the event did in fact take place as the MoD predicted.
I label the White Helmets as “notorious” in large part due to the monumental investigative reporting by Vaness Beeley on the group, their history and ties. Vanessa and her friend Eva Bartlett have shown photos of well-known White Helmets members standing beside ISIS flags and making the victory sign with their hands, and have reproduced Tweets wherein such members have congratulated terror groups on recent military victories.
Of course, many Westerners desperate to believe in their own governments and msm retorted that the MoD was predicting something that it knew Assad was plotting, so their prediction did not indict the Western interventionists but rather themselves. However, beyond the three items listed above showing there was no motive for Assad to carry out such an attack, a Russian fact-finding team went to Douma after the senseless US Tomahawks attack and found several credible witnesses, including “victims” who appeared in the publicized White Helmet videos, as well as medical personnel in the hospital shown in this video, whose testimonies showed that no such attack had happened at all in the specific area of Douma in question. More damning for the Western pro-war Establishment was the fact that some children were found whom the terrorist-affiliated White Helmets had involved in an amateurish staging of a “chemical attack.” One child said he had been playing in his home when a group of men in white helmets came to the door and offered to reward him with sweets if he would participate in a game with them. He agreed and one of the men immediately dumped a bucket of water over his head, drenching him. They then took him to the nearest hospital, where they similarly drenched others in the lobby. (Washing victims of poison gas exposure with water is apparently standard procedure for first responders). The hospital personnel was not consulted or notified of this.
Unfortunately for the Western plotters, the Russian team was able to take this child and some of the above-mentioned medical personnel to the OPCW in the Hague, where they presented their testimonies in a hearing. It was not long after that that Trump suspended the regular payments to the White Helmets, although that suspension did not last long. Recently, after the Syrian troops had all but defeated ISIS and Al-Qaeda-linked terrorists in their last stronghold in Idlib (the last stragglers are due to be taken out soon), the White Helmets were evacuated from Syria with the help of Israel and other nations that had supported them, including the US. Note that if this group had actually been acting mostly as first responders and helping save the lives of Syrians, there would have been no reason to separate them from the liberated Syrian population because these survivors would be eternally grateful. But while credulous Westerners can be told bald-faced lies about a Syria they have never been to, the Syrian citizens familiar with the facts knew the White Helmets were not their friends and saviours.
The MoD’s warning comes in the wake of a joint US-UK-French statement supposedly drafted to commemorate the pretend “chemical attack” last April. But three nations with real business to attend to don’t waste government time and payroll expenses to draft a memorial to a supposed tragedy that no citizen of any of the countries in question will ever commemorate, for example, in a small gathering of sympathetic friends wearing black arm bands. Judging by the reader forums of sites discussing the “chemical attack” last April, it is clear that the Western audiences are not all buying the lies and that they know who the White Helmets really are behind the thin facade. This statement contains a renewed indictment of the supposedly blood thirsty woman- and child-hating Assad and warns Syria once again that no more chemical attacks will be tolerated. A recent statement by White House security adviser John Bolton also warns the Syrians not to pull “another” attack or the consequences will be even more dire than in April. Something is in the air. Recently the UN sent secret memos to its partner organizations advising them not to assist in any rebuilding of Syria until there is a “political transition.” This memo is not the result of a legal, procedurally correct open discussion. The referenced “transition” is simply code for regime change, the reason for the 7 years of war in Syria in the first place. Obviously the US and its henchmen are behind this irregular memo.
Now the main question is how the Russians will respond if a staged attack does in fact occur and the US-UK-France, pretending to be outraged by the spectre of “beautiful babies” harmed, respond with a still more devastating attack on Syria. In April, Russia broke with its usual mild-mannered MO and told the US coalition that, while it may shoot down missiles, it would not punish the parties firing the missiles but warned that if any Russian facilities or personnel were harmed, they might attack the “platforms” whence the missiles came. In other words, they would sink US naval vessels! Trump’s brave military assiduously avoided targeting the Russians.
Today the scenario is different.
A blogger located in the Middle East reports having seen "thousands" of Russian personnel in Palmyra, suggesting that many could also be deployed in Idlib Governate, the arena of the Syrian army’s most recent shootout with ISIS, and the US knows full well what may happen if they strike any of the Russians. Thus the stakes are raised but the rhetoric has not changed.
